The Butler Bulldogs had a big recruiting visit this past week as Southwest DeKalb High School junior shooting guard Eugene Brown III visited campus.
The promising shooting guard recruit was taking in the friendly sights and sounds of 4600 Sunset Avenue and Hinkle Fieldhouse:
From Decatur, Georgia, the 6’5″, 170 pound shooting guard and Class of 2020 recruit is considered a 4-star recruit by 247.sports.com (ranked 76th nationally)–having also received offers from Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Xavier among others.
Of course, Butler has had success with Georgia recruits in the past, as their star player, Kamar Baldwin, All-Big East 2nd Team, resides from Winder, Georgia.
The Bulldogs already landed another 4-star SG recruit, Khalif Battle, for next season, but there’s no reason that both Brown and Battle can’t co-exist in the same starting lineup eventually–with their ability and size to play other positions.
It’ll be interesting to see if Brown ultimately chooses Butler, as his addition through recruitment would be a significant boost for the program’s continued success.
