The Fairfax, Virginia, product stands at 6’5″, 210 pounds, and is considered a 4-star recruit–having also received offers from Cincinnati, Florida, George Washington, Marquette, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, South Carolina, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Georgetown, and Maryland.
Keels was considered one of the top scorers at the recent “Top 100 Camp” at Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena:
Keels is a two-way player, who can score around the rim with either hand. The type of player that would immediately fit in well in the Bulldogs backcourt.
While Butler has incoming freshman Khalif Battle as the ‘heir apparent’ to All-Big East senior Kamar Baldwin, Keels has enough size to co-exist along the wing in the future.
That being said, it looks like his recruiting is going to be highly contested among power conference schools, so at first glance, the Bulldogs landing him is far from a given.
