The latest recruiting offer comes just days after the Bulldogs offered a pair of Class of 2021 forwards: Dionte ‘D.J.’ Hughes (Lawrence North) and James Graham III (Nicolet) respectively.
Taylor joins Lawrence Central forward D’Ante Davis as the only other Bulldog offeree currently in their prospective Class of 2022–although that number should continue to grow in the coming weeks.
The 6’6″, 200 pound Virginia product also has outstanding offers from George Washington, James Madison, Liberty, Marquette, Maryland, N.C. State, Old Dominion, and Virginia Tech among other programs.
He’s considered a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and a Top 50 overall recruit nationally.
In 29 games this past season, the sophomore St. Anne’s-Belfield High product averaged 15.4 ppg, 2.8 apg., 5.3 rpg., 0.4 spg., and 0.9 bpg. in 23.9 mpg. He shot 36% from FG and 34% from 3 PT in 2019 (but is a career 40% 3 point shooter so far in high school over two seasons).
Taylor has size for the wing and an effective three point jump shot. He’s also shown the ability to pull up and shoot, as well as drive to the rim–although those areas of his offensive game are still evolving.
However, it’s easy to project Taylor’s collegiate potential as a versatile wing for the Bulldogs:
While it’s hardly surprising, Butler head coach LaVall Jordan and his coaching staff continue to be active as the Bulldogs kick off their formal summer recruiting plan for the Class of 2022–with Taylor as one of their most recent serious targets.
